WACI VOLUNTEER FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 2021
I am Paul Okerinu and I hail from Oyo state. My conservation journey started in 2013 when I had a close encounter with wild animals at the University of Ibadan zoological garden. Being my first time, I got sighting was fantastic and I immediately fell in love with all the creatures.
I started volunteering for WACI in 2015 and I confidently say that it’s been fun writing history with WACI. To mention a few of WACI projects that have impacted my life includes but are not limited to the following: Sea turtle project (for nest security, rescue and rehabilitation), school outreaches with the team, online advocacy campaigns, quizzes etc. I have learned a lot and winning the WACI monthly quiz makes me happy.
To all the privileges, I say thank you to WACI and I remain committed to doing more for the protection of wildlife.
