Cymothoe mabillei (The Western Red Glider)

Female of Cymothoe mabillei (The Western Red Glider) was originally not thought to be in Nigeria, only further West, but Oskar and others found them in Omo forest about 10years back. Their report was verified by DNA. There are occasional records from Nigeria, but I think these are erroneous. While found mainly in forest, the species has some capacity to survive in disturbed habitats (Larsen, 2005). www.twitter/ugwa_ojonugwa
