Green Hylia Hylia prasina belongs to the avian family Hyliidae. It is a common resident bird in understories of forest and forest patches in tropical Africa.
It is characterized by the plumage of subdued forest color; dark olive-green above, creamy supercilium, black eye-stripe, and grey underpart.
Green Hylia is an insectivore found oftentimes in a mixed-species flock; it is skulking but betrays its presence with a disyllabic whistle note.
