SUPPORT MY WORK VIA WILDLIFE AFRICA INITIATIVE

Warm Greetings.

I set up Wildlife Africa Initiative, aimed at motivating positive behavioural change towards wildlife that will lead to conservation and greater appreciation of our Wildlife resources. Wildlife Africa is basically a concept developed as “A Special Wildlife Conservation, Research, Education and Rescue Initiative” with a Vision to create “A Growing generation, knowledgeable and motivated to take positive actions on behalf of the ‘Wildlife’– Plants and animals that share our land and sea with us and the environment”. OUR PURPOSE AND NEED

Our first and flagship environmental education program, is the Sea Turtle Exhibition, with the support of Aktionsgemeinschaft Artenschutz (AGA) e.V., Germany, who prepared for us a Nigerian version of their Sea Turtle named ‘Ariyike’ exhibition, as well as a children’s colouring book describing the adventures of a Sea Turtle named ‘Lucky’.

We have begun to organise school visits with the exhibition. Teachers have shown great interest, and many, many children have been enthusiastic about the protection of sea turtles in various schools in the last few weeks. Many other interested children and adults have attended private viewings were also enthusiastic and fascinated by the life of the sea turtles. The children’s colouring book of the AGA has conjured up laughter on many faces and is even more important, it has aroused the interest of the children in these fascinating marine reptiles.

Imagine if we can reach out to more schools and communities? Imagine we can replicate this Wildlife Education for other species, especially keystone species such as Elephants, Rhinoceros, Lions, Cheetahs, Pangolins, Giraffes, Dolphins, etc, all aimed at using Education to achieve a behavioural change of people to become Wildlife Friendly.
