Wildlife Africa debuted the film screening of the “Coveted Haven” which was directed and produced by Jeremia Boitshoko at the Green Friends Hangout on the 12th of December.
The screening was held at the Shodex Garden. Olawole Olayinka, Alexandrial Allen and Oluwaseun Adewumi were on the Call of the Wild for Wildlife Africa at the event.
Olayinka gave a brief introduction about Wildlife Africa and further gave an insight into what the movie depicted how human activities has encroached into the habitats of this wild species. how wildlife in turn are invading human habitation bringing with them diseases other threats to human life, and suggested possible solutions.
Alexandrial further explained the video’s origin and effect of distorting biodiversity.
The Wildlife Africa Team tried to have Jeremia join in Via Skype during the Screening from Botswana but that was not possible. He has however provided clarity on the film, and wants people to understand that in this case, it is not people that have encroached on wildlife habitation in the film. It is the warthogs and other wild animals that have come into human habitation. They moved into human habitation to find refuge from predators mainly from cheetahs in the national park.
Wildlife Africa will screen the movie again in February. Contact us if you will like to get an invite to the Screening
